School Rules

(Recommendations to Parents)
Every student must carry his/her diary to school every day. Students who come to school on their own should reach the school 15 minutes before the bell rings. Changing the classroom between periods should be done silently and in an orderly manner. All boys (except Sikhs) must wear their hair short. Girls must tie their hair neatly with black bands. Care must be taken of all school property. No student should damage any school furniture; write or draw anything on the walls. Damage done should be reported at once to the class teacher. A fine will be levied. No books (other than textbooks or library books), magazines, or papers should be brought to the school. Lending or borrowing of money or other articles is strictly prohibited. The school is not responsible for goods lost. Students who come to school with their escorts should never leave before the escort arrives.

In case of delay, they should report to the school office. The school reserves the right, after a warning, to suspend a student whose progress is unsatisfactory or whose conduct is harmful to other students. Parents and guardians of all students should contact the teacher on PTA days to note the progress of their wards. Parents and guardians must not visit wards or teachers without prior permission of the Principal. Students should get their report cards signed by their parents/guardians within two days of receipt of them.

Without a class pass no student will be allowed to leave the class for any work. At the first warning bell, all must fall into line immediately, for the Assembly. Pupils are expected to obey the Captains appointed by the School. In going from one classroom to another for special subjects, all shall move in an orderly manner, under the captain’s supervision. Strict regularity, punctuality, implicit obedience, courtesy in words and deeds, cleanliness in dress and person, and proper care of books and school property are expected from every pupil. Irregular attendance unwarranted absenteeism, lack of authentic leave application, habitual lack of interest in school work, stealing, misconduct even outside the school premises, and willful repeated breaches of school regulations are sufficient reasons for the dismissal of the child from school.

Pupils are responsible to the Authorities not only for their conduct in school but also for their general behavior outside. Any report of objectionable conduct on the part of any pupil will make his/her liable for disciplinary action. Hence misbehavior in public streets and conveyance is liable to the same action. The Principal in the interest of the school and without assigning any reason may ask a parent/guardian to withdraw his/her child/ward should the child`s conduct, behaviour, or influence in the Principal`s opinion be in any way detrimental to the common good of the school and its smooth running.
